Worship Will Destroy Your Golden Calf

Debbie and I live our lives focusing on the Biblical Calendar.  This past week began the Fourth Biblical Month of Tammuz.  Tammuz is significant because it the anniversary of the time when God was making covenant with His people Israel and they had forgotten the One who had delivered them from Egypt.  They were worshipping the Golden Calf.  This is the month to be careful not to worship idolatry.  The question is not if you are going to worship?  But what or whom do you worship?  Because we were created to Worship.  So in this month of Tammuz it is important to Worship God in everything you do.  Worship is not just singing songs, but is a lifestyle of thanksgiving and praise.  When we work we worship.  When we play we worship.  Give to what ever your focus is upon in your daily routine and I do it with a heart of Praise and Worship.Tammuz is also the anniversary when Moses sent out the spies to Canaan.  They came back to the give their report on the 9th day of Av.  Av is the next month of the Bilbilical calendar.  The negative report from the 10 spies set in motion the 40 years of wilderness for another generation.  So this month has to do with what you see with your eyes.  Do you see the brightness of Light of God's purpose or do you see the difficulties, fortified cities, and giants before you.  Be careful for this month will reveal in your eyes the core of your mindset.  This is the month that God is looking to reset the "filmstrip" of your life. It is the month you can review the progression of your life and stop to make adjustments.  This is the month of the Tribe of Reuben.  Reuben sold his birthright.  So one must be careful on speaking against oneself.  This is the month to confess ones BEST for yourself. Do not speak evil.  Accept your calling and speak forth your destiny for this month.  A lot of people do not know what they are and  do not know their purpos.  That is why they fall into negativity.  Guard your heart and mouth so you don't get thrown off like Reuben.Finally, Tammuz is the month to establish brilliance of righteousness.  Walk in the righteousness of God.  Put on the Breastplate of Righteousness.  Beware of the negative attacks and the unrighteousness taking place in the earth.  Be careful in all the pain and turmoil of what is going on in the world to not get sucked into a soulish humanistic mindset.  Covenant alignment becomes very important in this month.  Be careful who you shake hands with to make covenant with either with your mind or heart.
