Elul- The Month of Mercy and Grace

THE KING IS IN YOUR FIELD! Tonight at Sundown we begin the Biblical month of Elul. This is the month following the month of Tammuz and Av were Israel committed their two greatest sins. The worship of Golden Calf and the doubt of the spies. So Elul is a month when the King is in your Field. God wants to offer you great forgiveness and mercy. He is drawing near to you. Normally the King is in his palace and you can only have an audience with Him through emissaries, appointments, and protocol. But this month he has come where you are and is extending mercy and forgiveness. The four letters of ELUL are an acronym with initial letters or Song of Songs 6:3, "I am to my beloved and my beloved is to me." Elul is "small numbering" equal 13 and 13 represents the 13 ways of mercy that God will show in the month of Elul. Shabbat Shalom
