Simchat Torah
Today on the Biblical Calendar is Simchat Torah, the eighth day. Simchat Torah means, “Rejoice in the Torah.”
Without the Torah there would not be the Bible. It is the first five books of the Old Testament. Upon it is the foundations of all scriptures.
Without the Torah there would be no Adam and Eve. The Torah taught, we are made in YHWH’s image.
The Torah taught us God’s covenant love for both the Jew and Gentile.
Without the Torah there is no right from wrong.
Without the Torah there would be no Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. No Old Testament and New Testament.
Without the Torah we would not have the greatest moral equivalent, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Without the Torah we would not know about the Exodus or Moses.
Through out the Gospels, Jesus quoted the Torah.
Simchat Torah is about, Rejoicing in the Word.
John 1 teaches us Yeshua, King Jesus is the living Word.
King David said, “I meditate on the word of God that I might not to sin against Thee.”
This Simchat Torah means the ending of Torah Reading in Deuteronomy and the beginning of a new cycle, transitioning to a New Year, the start of the reading of Genesis.
Today I celebrate the written word of God. Men have outlawed it, Tried to burn it, and Martyred those whom live by it. But it still stands today. I praise Yeshua, King Jesus for He is the Logos, The Word!
Shalom Shalom
